No Strings Attached – Woodley Ukulele Group

Formed in 2016 with the aim of promoting playing ukulele and singing in Woodley/Reading and surrounding areas. Now have over 100 members. Its all pretty casual with a focus on having fun. We play about 60 gigs in a non Covid year, all funds raised all go to Charities. Our youngest player is 10 years, oldest is 93( she started when she was 90!) We play anything from 20/30s plenty of 60s/70s through to chart stuff now. We’ll have a go at anything at least once! Our zoom play alongs and compilation videos kept us and our gig audiences going during the lockdowns, which I’m glad to say is back up and running, live as usual. plenty of Wednesday evening sessions and gigs in the calendar 2022 promises to be a good year.

Open to all levels, we just play songs and have a laugh. Newbies welcome, we normally get about 50+ at the Wednesday evening meets. We play plenty of gigs, public and private, all monies raised go to Charities. Drop us a line if you fancy coming down.
