Anarchy in the Ukulele come to Camberley!

WORKSHOP: 6:00-7:00pm Anarchy In The Ukulele, will show you how to twist a well known song into something completely unique. See below for more information!

DOORS: 7:30pm     Local ukulele artist The Mayor of Dorkshire will kick start the live music, then Anarchy in the Ukulele will perform, finishing with a jam/singalong to end the night, so please bring your instruments if you play!

The Ukulele Project’s passion is to offer fun, engaging, inspiring events for multiply generations where everyone feels welcome and leaves with enormous smiles on their faces having made a friend or two. All whilst raising money to offer more classes and ukuleles to other community groups, schools and libraries.

Anarchy in the Ukulele  are a super fun 7 piece band with striking harmonies, dynamic rhythms, catchy songs and witty banter they come together to form a formidable and energetic live act, that is taking the ukulele scene by storm.

Formed as part of their Anarchy in the Ukulele YouTube channel, this seven piece band is made up of professional musicians and multi-instrumentalists from around the UK.

With influences from the world of americana, country, a little bit of rock and a sprinkling of cheesy pop, Anarchy in the Ukulele take songs you think you know and twist them into something new and unexpected. This is ukulele, but not as you know it.

Anarchy In The Ukulele, will show you how to twist a well known song into something completely unique for a ukulele band. The band will cover choosing the right song, re-harmonising it, creating a new style and then arranging parts to turn a well known song into something original. Then once you know the song, they’ll encourage you to play along with it in the evening concert.

Playing under the pseudonym of The Mayor of Dorkshire, Phill Cooper is a singer-songwriter
from Berkshire, dedicated to entertaining an audience with a show packed with irreverent yet
detailed songs with themes ranging from the absurdity of real life to “I got that reference!”-
meme culture.
