Llanelli Ukulele Players

Llanelli Ukulele Players were formed in September 2017, with 5 Ukulele learners when the Ukulele music course they were attending ceased to continue. The five members agreed to continue on their own and started meeting at The Star Hotel, Swansea Road, Llanelli on a Monday evening from 7pm till 9pm. A Facebook page was opened and the membership steadily grew with the group meetings now achieving 12+ players each week. In 2019 the Star Closed for trading so the Llanelli Players moved to the Foel Club, Ynys Wen, Felinfoel, which has now become our home.

The Llanelli Ukulele Player have played at the Gar Gywl Music Festival every year, it’s been held usually as the opening act. The Players also play for local care homes, community groups and charity groups within the local area. Furthest distance travelled was to the Ship & Pilot Pub in Newport for the Pillgwenlly Carnival.
