Welcome to the Ukulele Project website. Not just for ukulele players, for anyone interested in ending loneliness and promoting wellbeing

UKE Club Directory

Joining a ukulele club is not only a great way of improving your ukulele playing, but also a brilliant way to meet kindred spirits and make new friends.

Mostly Ukuleles Canterbury Keny

We have been meeting up for about 7 years. Our first meeting was on 2nd February 2017 (I think), which is World Ukulele Day. Our first meetings was upstairs in The Jolly Sailor in Canterbury.

We now meet in a Christchurch University room on North Holmes Road.

We play a range of songs, all chosen by the group. Occasionally we play in public, and recently we did an introduction to the ukulele for a local Women’s Institute group.

We meet regularly on Thursdays, 7pm to 9pm in a room in the university. If you let us know you are coming we can meet up in the car park to help you find the room!

Join the Facebook group and ask a question there, or feel free to ask me a question by email.

We would love to welcome new people to our group! Beginners welcome too! We use pdf songbooks which can be downloaded free from the internet and choose a variety of songs to play and sing together.

The group is free to come along to, though we can give a £1 voluntary donation that gets passed on to local charities.

It would be great if you came to join us!
