Welcome to the Ukulele Project website. Not just for ukulele players, for anyone interested in ending loneliness and promoting wellbeing

UKE Club Directory

Joining a ukulele club is not only a great way of improving your ukulele playing, but also a brilliant way to meet kindred spirits and make new friends.

Pontyclun Ukulele Jam

The Pontyclun Ukulele Jam takes place on the first Thursday of each month at the Boar’s Head, Tyla Garw, Pontyclun from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. We aim to have a laugh and play a selection of ukulele tunes in a friendly, fun, supportive atmosphere.

We also hold a Beginners/Improvers Group on the third Thursday of each month 7.00pm to 9.00pm at the same venue. This is for complete beginners who want to learn the uke from scratch, improvers who know how to play and anybody else who needs an extra ukulele fix! We also bring along spare ukes so you can try before you commit to buying anything.

Pontyclun Library also has ukuleles for loan. You can use your library card to borrow a uke for three weeks and return or renew it – just like a book.

There is no entry charge for the Pontyclun Ukulele Jam and the food, drink and hospitality at the Boar’s Head is AMAZING!!
