How to Start Playing Ukulele is an introduction to ukulele for children of all ages. With easy-to-follow instructions and illustrations, it covers chords, melody, recommended listening and worksheets introducing rhythm, tempo and dynamics. QR codes give access to video tutorials and play-a-longs. Colouring helps aid memory as well as decreasing stress and encourages patience and relaxation. Also, seeing your picture come to life can give a massive sense of pride and achievement.

Tara Maysey is a music teacher teaching piano, ukulele and singing for over 12 years. She teaches in various settings, working with all ages from 3 to 90 years old. She is extremely passionate about music being available to all, as a tool to build confidence, build communities and promote wellbeing. She founded The Ukulele Project in December 2018.
